I had a very, very good seat for this show, many floors above Columbus Park, at eye-level with the fireworks' crowns. The crowd below were more excited than I was, though, from the sound of the cheers. Chinese New Year is an interesting time, because it turns a neighborhood of random frenetic motion into a unified crowd that marches together, shouts together, plays music together. Everybody gets into the celebration.

This photo is so similar to the one below, but I couldn't choose between them. Bad editing, it's true, but not much of an inconvenience, I hope. Note the fire truck in the midst of the crowd on Mulberry Street.
